Meet The Teachers

Anna Connors

Anna began studying circus at a young age, and at 19 began to center her life around it.  Starting as a juggler, face painter, and clown, it wasn't long before she found herself taking to the air. At 22, she moved to the Chicago area, where she began practicing aerial acrobatics in earnest at the Actor's Gymnasium and Aloft Circus Arts.  At 25, she realized she wanted to make it her career, and began the professional training program at Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance in Boulder, CO.  Upon moving home to Milwaukee, Anna created Anna Belle Aerial before founding Cream City Circus in 2019.

Karen Fischberg

Karen has been involved in dance and sports since she was only 5 years old. When she moved to Milwaukee for college in 2013 she was looking for a new physical outlet and found aerial silks. Since then she has performed at various events around the midwest. Upon moving to Vancouver Washington in 2017, Karen dug deeper into aerial silks and chains at the Circus Project and AWOL in Portland Oregon. While living here she added pole to her repertoire and began teaching aerial and aerial conditioning, flexibility, and pole. Karen returned to Milwaukee in 2019 and brought with her her unique view to aerial training from her background in dance and continued advancement in rock climbing.

Catherine Hughes

Catherine started her athletic journey on the kindergarten soccer team and would go on to play the sport through high school.  In middle school, she discovered ballet and fell in love with performance arts.  After graduation, she went to nursing school where she would gain a deeper understanding of anatomy and physiology and become a licensed registered nurse.  In 2019, she found aerial dance and reignited her passion for performing.  Since then, she has spent the vast majority of her free time training and creating routines. Catherine is very excited to be able to share her passion and creativity in the world of circus and her knowledge of the human body to teach safe and exciting classes.
